Rodika Tollefson

Rodika Tollefson is a professional writer and creative with a 25-year career in journalism and marketing. She has run her own freelance business for more than two decades, growing it from a part-time solo gig to a six-figure company.

Rodika was on her way to a business major in college when she accidentally discovered she could be paid to write professionally, as a journalist. While in the middle of choosing a widget for a “personal selling” assignment in a business class, Rodika realized she was using the wrong skill set and talents to sell ideas. She changed her major to journalism, and the planets finally aligned.

A short stint as a beat reporter steered her toward the freelance writing road (who knew a 24/7 reporter’s life and small children wouldn’t play nice?). Since then, communications business has provided writing, editing, content strategy, and graphic design services to clients in the commercial, public, and nonprofit sectors. Currently, she works primarily with global technology and cybersecurity enterprises and fast-growing startups. Some of the brands she’s worked with include global leading companies such as Dell Technologies, Cisco, Lenovo, and American Express.

After all these years, Rodika is still passionate about telling stories about businesses and the people behind them, and about what makes both of them tick. She has received several awards for her journalism, multimedia, design, creative writing, and leadership work.

Over the past two decades, Rodika has helped hundreds of brands sell their widgets, ideas, and services to the world.

Her business professor would be proud.
